Hi, I am Mirella. This is my personal blog. It reflects what entices me; symbolisms and correlations about the things I love. It is the expression of feelings and the trigger of thought through words, images, movements. Words, images, movements. That's part of you...or all of you, right? Look it the other way too. Always the other way too.

The blog is published as a project for my Digital Business Strategies course of the ALBA MBA. Yet, I insist on "that other view". Hence for me, it is a challenge to expose and overcome myself, an incentive to communicate and thus enhance my perspective. A way also to better "meet" people who I admire for the way they think of what they see.

And I invite you to meet me and them along with me. Enjoy...

Do you believe you can cross yourself?

Most lines cross others. They meet, interact, and again depart; they move forward. That's the normal course of a railing line, right?

Now...REFRAME this. Always try to reframe. Our assumptions are most of the time self-imposed.

Having done so, what do you see? You can see lines that are more flexible-kind of rebels against and above their own standards. They can even be not lines anymore. They can move back and forth, or up and down, they can also bend and become curves, or change in speed and color.

It can also be the same line, that crosses the exact same point in space [or-reframe again-time (time goes back that way!)].

Having admitted my thoughts, that's what I see...When I look at this picture, I can see the "same" line twice. It is reflecting its old position. Yet, it has a different direction and it has altered its orientation. It is also more vivid-noise expunged.

I can also see M.

P.S. You can imagine ANYTHING else. Imagination does come in a box (there's nothing wrong with boxes, right?), but with limits that are not fixed; they can expand as much as you want to push them.

The story of your life is not your life,
it is your story...

As the novelist John Barth once wrote, “The story of your life is not your life. It is your story.”

But how do you make sense of that?

Of course, the mere facts of your life matter; they always did, and they will certainly do. However, despite the undeniable weight of objectivity, life is not a controlled experiment.

Thus, it is your personal narrative that matters most,

it is the way you look that defines what you see.

So, what’s your sense of the meaning of your life? This is closely linked to your life story, plus the way you (re)frame it.

Illustratively, I like to think of it as a BOX. I am in my box. You are in your box.

To better percolate the notion-your notion, you have to come in and out at a pace-your pace.

I mean you have to get out of the box, to get the whole picture, but then you have to get inside again for a more nuanced view.

Every time you are supposed to make even more sense.

Again, I can imagine this as similar to watching the same movie again. Don’t you observe what you had previously missed?

This is the mere exposure effect and it applies here too; the more you expose to yourself, the more you open up and go deeper. You move from a rather conspicuous silence to the limelight, from your ineffable thoughts to your “aha” moments. And do you know what is even more important? This loop is positive…your self-awareness is being reinforced and your resistance neutralized. You are “stronger” and, because of this, willing to be more vulnerable.

Besides, opposites sometimes meet, don’t they?

So, go and make more sense or…exsqueeze it…
